American Theater Group

AMERICAN THEATER GROUP is an ambitious new professional theater company offering new and classic American musicals and plays, as well as inspiring theater education programs. American Theater Group produces works, primarily by American playwrights, with an emphasis on the development of new works and the rediscovery of undeservedly neglected older ones.

Based in South Orange, NJ, American Theater Group is a professional member theatre of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance. Tickets to all American Theater Group events can be purchased on our events page.

Till: A New Musical

by Leo Schwartz and DC Cathro
directed by Cezar Williams

ATG's most recent production, Till, was embraced by audiences and critics alike! The new musical by Leo Schwartz and DC Cathro, directed by Cezar Williams, introduced audiences to 14-year-old Emmett Till, whose death in 1955 helped galvanize the civil rights movement, and his family and friends, who shared their grief with the world.
